As a mom who raised her kids while moving futher & further away from trusting allopathic healthcare, I appreciate this point of view. Virtually on almost every issue in society, very few should have an all or nothing approach.
We come from a tradition of patient-centered care, and have sought to tailor that to patient needs through careful analysis and shared decision-making.
We seek truth.
We are a minority. We know that.
Most people, maybe 77% or so, really have a strong group identity, and agree with their group primarily.
In times like now, with groups strongly polarized, we will offend many people by just being honest and thoughtful, particularly if we are engaging an established group.
And the times, data and technology is so quicksilver changing we should not be judging our peers previously held opinions! I love how you included the word “Mercy” in your stack - for def SURE we should be extending the grace and mercy we have been shown as children of the King!
I’ve seen that ugly behavior on some posts. I don’t understand someone who thinks like that, although I do know plenty who are polarized and it caused huge issues in my own extended family. Much of it had to do with disagreement over medical issues and we have doctors in the family with very strong opinions. Needless to say, not many are speaking to each other anymore.
